1. The Short Version
We sell software, not data. We do not sell your personal information. We do not train AI models on your meetings, transcripts, documents, or code. Synchat is designed to be local-first and privacy-preserving, with minimal telemetry to keep the product reliable.
2. Meeting Data & Transcripts
When you use Synchat during a meeting, audio is captured locally and may be encrypted in transit and securely transmitted to third-party transcription/AI providers to provide real-time assistance (depending on your configuration).
We do not store audio recordings on our servers. Transcripts and meeting notes saved on your device are yours and yours alone. Short-lived processing buffers may exist while requests are in-flight, and limited service logs may retain minimal metadata for reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
3. AI Model Usage
Synchat utilizes advanced third-party LLM providers (such as Google Gemini) to provide intelligence. We configure our provider settings and agreements such that your data is not used to train their models.
Inputs are transmitted for processing and handled transiently in accordance with our provider agreements.
4. Payment Information
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We retain only the minimum required billing information (such as transaction IDs and email address) to verify license ownership and provide support.
5. Analytics
We collect minimal, privacy-minded telemetry (for example crash reports and license verification events) to fix bugs and improve reliability. We do not track the content of your meetings or documents.
6. Data Retention
We retain only what we need to operate the service. Short-lived processing buffers are cleared after use. Limited logs may be retained for reliability, security, billing, and abuse prevention. Payment-related records may also be retained as required by law and payment processors.
7. Sub-processors
Synchat relies on trusted third-party providers to deliver the service. These may include infrastructure providers, payment processors, authentication services, email delivery services, and AI/transcription providers. Examples include Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and licensing), and Resend (email delivery). A current list is available upon request.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. If you provided us an email for licensing or support, you can contact us to make a request at contact@synchat.dev.
9. Cookies & Sessions
We use short-lived session cookies for secure access to protected pages (such as admin or investor portals). We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Synchat app or investor portal.
10. Children's Privacy
Synchat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
